YouTube is the second most visited website in the world. The platform, launched by three former employees of PayPal back in 2005, has been a stellar success for Google and their parent company Alphabet Inc. It was recently valued at over $100 billion dollars. As one of the largest social media sites on the web, it’s no wonder that YouTube would be an excellent place to make money online.
1.First things first:
The first thing you
need to do is create your own channel! Or if you’re already using another
account like Facebook or Instagram as your primary content-sharing site, just
use this same login information when creating a YouTube channel! You’ll want to
upload some video clips so people know what they can expect from your videos –
maybe show them how to do something, or give them a tour of your home. Once you
have some clips to share, go ahead and create an account by clicking on the big
orange “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.
This will take you
through a series of steps that include selecting your username (make sure it’s
not already taken!), entering your email address, reading YouTube’s community
guidelines–don’t worry, they’re really short! And then finally filling out all
of the pertinent information about yourself before accepting their Terms and
Conditions. The next step is uploading videos – click on “Upload” under Inbox
where it says “Add video” when logging into YouTube for the first time so we
can get started with this process.
